1.The European Parliament

People of UE countries elect the members of the Parliament. They consider and pass the laws together with the Council of Ministers.

2. The European Council

It’s made up by the leaders of each member country. It sets the EU’s agenda and priorities

3. The Council of Ministers

It’s made up of the ministers from each member country. They decide about approving European laws.

4. European Commission

It proposes new initiatives and completes the agenda of the EU after the European Council.

5. European Court of Justice

Ensures that laws at European level are applied and interpreted correctly.
