Plants nutrition

 Plants need:

  • Water
  •  Sun light
  • Soil
  •  Temperature
  • Air

Plants make their own food: PHOTOSYNTHESIS

Plants, like animals and humans, need nourishment and need to breathe. The PHOTOSYNTHESIS is the process in which the plants make their own food.

The clorophyll gives the green colour to the leaves.

During the photosynthesis the plants take the carbon dioxide and oxigen   from the atmosphere.

 How plants get nourishment:

1.  First the PLANT absorbs water and other substances (RAW SAP) from the soil.

2.  The raw sap goes through the stem to the leaves.

3.  Then the leaves take  raw sap (water + substances or minerals) and make their food

4.  The leaves turn the raw sap into refined sap in the leaves. The leaves need sunligth to turn the raw sap into refined sap

5.  The leaves send the refined sap to all parts of the plant
